Naruto Synopsis: The Nine-Tails struck Konohagakure twelve years before to the commencement of the series, decimating most of the town and killing a large number of people. The Fourth Hokage, the head of the village, gave his life in order to imbue Naruto Uzumaki with the Nine-Tails. The incident left Naruto orphaned, and the villagers rejected him because they thought he was the Nine-Tails itself out of fear and rage. Even though the Third Hokage forbade discussing anything associated with the Nine-Tails, the kids carried on their parents' enmity against Naruto.
